Addictive Behaviors and Eating Disorder Recovery

Prior to entering private practice, I provided individual and group addiction counseling and developed experience working with people whose substance use or other behaviors had begun to interfere with their relationships, work, health, or daily lives. I have experience working with substance use as well as behavioral patterns involving spending, gambling, and video games. Together, we can explore what these behaviors may be doing for you, what may be contributing to them, and what makes change difficult. My goal is to help you develop greater awareness of your patterns while identifying realistic ways forward that align with your goals.

I also have significant experience supporting people in eating disorder recovery. We can work on the practical challenges of recovery while also exploring the underlying concerns, emotions, relationships, and patterns that may contribute to disordered eating. My work is informed by Health at Every Size (HAES) and intuitive eating, and I aim to approach recovery without shame or judgment. When additional support would be helpful, I may recommend working with a nutritionist, physician, or specialized eating disorder program as part of a broader treatment team.
